Rwanda, EU sign40M euro financing agreement

Rwanda and the European Union signed Tuesday a 40 million euro (about 67 billion Rwandan francs) financing agreement to support the transformation of Rwanda’s agriculture sector into a modern, inclusive, and climate-resilient sector.

Through the "HANGARIBIHE" Program, the partnership will strengthen climate-smart agriculture, sustainable land management, irrigation, and climate resilience, according to a statement.

The move reflects Rwanda’s continued efforts to advance sustainable development, strengthen climate resilience, and drive inclusive growth.
